Permits issued prior to drilling by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP). This data set begins on January 1, 2011 and is updated daily from the Permit Issued Detail Report on the DEP Website.

Pennsylvania Oil and Gas Drilling Reports (SPUD)
A SPUD report is issued to the state when drilling commences. In practice we have seen these reports issued with dates a few days in the future, so these reports may be published in advance of the actual drilling start. Our data set begins January 1, 2005 and is updated daily from the SPUD Data Report on the DEP Website.

Pennsylvania Oil and Gas Compliance Reports (Violations)
Reports of violations issued by the PADEP for permit and other violations extracted from the Oil and Gas Compliance Report. Alerts are only issued for compliance reports that can be precisely located. The only reports that we can automatically locate so far are the ones that mention the API number of a specific well. In this case we locate the alerts for the violation at the well site. The data entire data set is stored however can can be downloaded.
